Role: Community Development Coach

Playing Experience:
I played for Blackpool AFC as a School boy, moving to Holker Old Boys to play in the under 11's and moved right through the ranks to the under 18 team. I then Moved to Barrow AFC Reserves while playing for the Holker Old boys first team at the highest level for amateur football in the Barrow and district area. Currently still at Holker.

Coaching Qualifications:

  • FA level 1 Certificate in coaching Football
  • FA age appropriate Coaching Introductory Module
  • Full First Aid Certificate
  • Hold a full enhanced CRB check

Playing Experience:
I started coaching for a local franchise called team theme, working in local schools and on holiday programmes. I then moved on to work for InsideOut soccer schools working mainly on holiday programmes before joining the Community Initiative at Barrow AFC. Here I have developed my coaching from holiday programmes to becoming an integral part of the Schools coaching, Street Soccer projects and coaching local junior football clubs. Other experience includes working for Lancashire Football association and for Millom and west Cumbria based On side soccer

The Future:
I have a huge desire to coach in America and Australia as I experiencing different approaches to coaching and different cultures will help in my development as a coach.

I am aiming to complete my level 2 Certificate in coaching football progressing on to my level 3. This will benefit our work in the community and ensure all the coaching we deliver is of the highest Standard.
