Barrow sign former Accy winger, Chris Turner.
Barrow have signed former Accrington & Burscough winger, Chris Turner, after he impressed in a practice match on Wednesday.
The 21-year old trialled with Barrow last pre-season but after impressing in the first 2 friendlies, suffered an injury and ultimately lost his potential squad place to Jack Mackreth.
Turner was a product of the Accrington youth system and was released from Stanley after 5 years and 60 first team appearances last summer.
He began this season with Evostik Division 1 North side, Clitheroe, but signed for Evostik Premier outfit, Worskop Town, in the autumn. However travelling to Worksop quickly became impractical so he was released without playing a game and joined fellow Evostik Premier club, Burscough, in November.
He left Burscough in early January, though the Lancashire club retain his Evostik League non-contract registration, but have kindly waived the seven days notice of approach.
Turner will boost Barrow's squad ahead of the visit by Kettering Town with Kelvin Lomax (final game of 2), Adam Boyes & Joe Jackson (both first game of 3) all suspended.
Barrow AFC would like to publically thank Graphix Signs for their continued support in a speedy turnaround of named and numbered shirts for the new signing.
