Barrow Bring In Emergency Loan Keeper / Turner Released
Barrow have signed young Macclesfield Town 'keeper, Jack Cudworth, on emergency loan until the end of the season.
Cudworth,21, will join as cover for the injured, Shaun Pearson, who damaged knee ligaments at Mansfield on Saturday and is expected to be out for between three weeks and to the end of the season.
The deal was signed on Wednesday and approved by the Football Conference and Football Association on registration deadline day.
Cudworth is a former Preston North End trainee who then had a season with Rhyl in the Welsh Premier League before signing a contract with Macclesfield last season.
Injured at the start of this season, his first team opportunities have been limited, so he spent a spell on loan at Blue Square Bet North, Colwyn Bay, in December.
Meanwhile winger, Chris Turner, has been released.
