Bosses Nuts About Almond Capture
Barrow bosses, Dave Bayliss & Darren Sheridan,are delighted to have signed Blackpool forward, Louis Almond, on a six month youth loan deal
Almond, 19, had a successful spell at Holker Street for three months at the beginning of this year, scoring five times in twenty appearances.
The Barrow bosses had been tracking the young winger / striker all summer but had thought they had missed out as the former Premier League club favoured a Football League outfit as Almond's destination this term.
However their persistance was rewarded this week, when Blackpool had a change of heart allowing Barrow to beat several other clubs to land the deal.
The Youth Loan system was only approved for The Conference in June, permitting Almond to also play Reserve games for Blackpool providing they don't clash with Barrow's matches.
The deal runs from today until January 4th when the situation will be re-assessed. Almond has also been granted permission to play for Barrrow in the FA Cup, FA Trophy and Lancashire Challenge Trophy.
He will wear the number 18 shirt.
