Summary Info

All the anti racism school session throughout the year lead up to this big event. An annual event held at the club to promote Barrow AFC’s stance against Racism. Activities provided before the match at Holker Street such as beat the goalie, rocket shot and kick up competitions. Barrow AFC players warmed up in anti Racism t shirts and posed for photos which were used for the local media. Supporters in the main stand were each given ‘show Racism the Red Card’ cards to hold up at the same time just before kick off. There was also half time entertainment and a selection of food from around the world for supporters to try.

Achievements

The Event itself has been nationally recognised by the group ‘lets kick racism out of football’ and received an award for the best event in the country. This is an exceptional achievement as premiership and championship clubs also put on these events.
