Paul Jones 86th minute equaliser saw Barrow snatch a point at ten man Grays.
Jones headed home Mark Boyd's corner in a topsy turvy game at the New Rec.
Grays dominated early on and spurned some good chances before FOLA ONIBUJE seized on a through ball to smash the home side in front in the 14th minute.
Barrow drew level against the run of play in the 33rd minute when Jason Walker headed on Stuart Tomlinson's clearance for JON SHAW to wait for the ball to drop before dispatching into the bottom corner.
Billy Crowther earned his second yellow card for another infringment on Malvin Kamara 5 minutes later and in the 38th minute KAMARA put the visitors in front swivelling on an Andy Bond nod down from a Paul Rutherford corner.
Walker fed Shaw again but he volleyed over as Barrow finished the half comfortably on top.
Grays though came roaring back after the interval with JAMIE SLABBER seizing on a slip by Adam Dugdale to break into the box avoid a subsequent Dugdale challenge and fire in off the far post in the 51st minute.
Belittling their one man disadvanatge, the home side retook the lead 10 minutes later when Glenn Poole got behind the Barrow left flank to pull back for SLABBER to drive home off Tomlinson.
Andy Cook went close with a header before JONES' equaliser and both sides pushed for the winner without success.
The Barrow management were disappointed with the sides defending and felt it was a game that Barrow should have won.
