Barrow battle back three times for a point

Barrow came from behind three times in a Boxing Day thriller at Holker Street to gain a point, after a defensive display they will want to forget.

Gateshead attacked with pace on the break and when Jelleyman was robbed on half-way (some would say illegally) a three man passing move saw McDermott put his side in front after just two minutes.

Barrow though levelled immediately as Goodfellow curled in a delicious 20 yarder.

After dominating for a spell and having a Nelthorpe goal ruled out for offside, Barrow fell behind again with another somewhat contraversial goal with a seemingly clear push not spotted in the build up to a deft Clare 18 yard chip.

Bond though restored parity in a fine sweeping move just after the break, but Gateshead again went in front went Tomlinson misjudged a cross to parry straight to Clare 6 yards out.

A point was agained though a Blundell slipped the ball under the advancing keeper from another fine break.
