Manager Ady Pennock’s thoughts after defeat to Torquay United.
“We were very poor. For 70 minutes they were better than us all over the pitch and it wasn’t good enough.
We deserved what we got and I’d like to apologise to the fans who traveled up today, it’s a long way to come and to give that performance for 70 minutes just isn’t good enough.
They were awful goals to concede, but I’m not taking anything away from Torquay, they deserved the three points and at the end of the day we’ve just got to forget about it and move on.
At this time we have to deal with what we have. The players that are here need to show some desire and it’s the 70 minutes that weren’t enough that we will be focusing on.
We now have to work hard this week, we know it’s a big game against Hartlepool next week, but they are all big games, no matter who we play.
Obviously I’m not very happy at that today but the biggest thing is for our fans to travel all that way to see it. I know it was our first away loss but still it just wasn’t good enough for everyone involved with Barrow football club and it wasn’t good enough for where we want to go and what we want to do.”
