News of an exciting new partnership for the club!
We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Barrow based kit supplier 17Sport for the 2019/20 season! 17Sport have also become a community partner of Barrow AFC Community Trust in an exciting move for all parties.
The deal will see the Bluebirds kitted out in Joma playing and training kits for the 2019/20 season, and allows both our first team & performance centre teams to wear the same kit to further develop links between the two.
17 Sport sell sports kit and team wear throughout the UK and are the number 1 supplier to many semi-professional, amateur and grassroots sports clubs, as well as education providers and companies.
Based in Barrow, they pride themselves on delivering top quality products with their experienced staff having over 20 years within the sports industry.
Following the agreement being made, Chairman Paul Hornby said “We are delighted to have reached an agreement with 17Sport to provide our kit for next season. When we first took over at the club we placed an emphasis on local interactions, both with supporters and local businesses, and this is an important step in that regard. Both Jonathan and Mark have Barrow at heart and we are really looking forward to working with them on next seasons kit range, including a much improved range of merchandise for supporters in the club shop.”
The new community partnership between 17Sport and Barrow AFC Community Trust is also a big stepping stone towards providing an integrated pathway from our performance centre teams to the first team.
17Sport have provided a range of clothing for our community coaches and will be working with Head of Community Craig Rutherford and his team on providing kit options for our performance centre ahead of next season.
Upon signing the deal with 17Sport, Rutherford said “One of the consistent bits of feedback we have received from both players and parents is that they want to play in the same kit as the first team, and we are delighted to be able to provide that in partnership with 17Sport.
Both Jonathan and Mark have been hugely supportive so far and their commitment to become a community partner is very much appreciated. We are looking forward to working with them ahead of what is set to be an exciting season for both our Community work and Performance Centre.”
17Sport directors Jonathan Todd and Mark Fell are excited about the new partnership with the club, following the deal being finalised Todd said “17Sport is very excited to be working with Barrow AFC on their kit range for the 2019/20 season. We are a company who are looking to expand and grow and this partnership is an exciting part of that. We are looking forward to working with the club, its Community Trust and of course it’s supporters to deliver a fantastic range of playing, training and leisurewear next season.”
