Bluebirds midfielder Josh Kay is here to stay, with the 22 year old agreeing terms of his second year option with the club!
He joins Jason Taylor, who signed a two year contract last summer, and recent signing Lewis Hardcastle as part of the clubs midfield options for next season.
Born in Blackpool, Josh began his career with Squires Gate before joining the AFC Fylde set up. He made a single first team appearance for the Coasters before joining Barnsley for an undisclosed fee in February 2016. He was only to make one Championship appearance for the Tykes and had a one game loan spell back at AFC Fylde back in February 2017 and two game loan spell at Tranmere Rovers in November of the same year.
He joined Chesterfield in League Two in January 2018 and made eleven League appearances for them before being released in June 2018 and joining Barrow. He made his debut on the opening day of the season against Havant & Waterlooville.
