Maintenance Volunteers Update!

News of another fantastic morning of work by our GMA team!

There was another strong turn out from our volunteer maintenance crew this morning, with a very healthy 13 or 14 people turning up to help out.

Tasks from litter picking to electrical repairs and concreting were carried out by our dedicated volunteers.Work has been ongoing for several weeks on the two toilets by the Popular Side turnstiles and these are now almost finished. We would like to say a big thank you to Andy Leitch of Leitch Construction Services who donated his time and materials to concrete some areas around those facilities, it is very much appreciated!

We would also like to say a big thanks to Edmunson Electrical, who provided a very kind donation of an LED light for the players tunnel which is now better lit than it ever has been and will ensure less maintenance is needed on the lighting in that area going forward. Again, their generosity is greatly appreciated.

There are also now more bins dotted around the ground including three more in the main stand, hopefully helping to reduce the amount of litter that needs to be picked up after home fixtures.

There is also one last thank you for us to make as Bob In Cafe once again supplied breakfast for everyone. They have done this every week for the volunteers over the last three months. A fantastic gesture by them which is truly appreciated.

They will be hard at work again next Sunday from 9am! Everyone is welcome to come along and lend a hand, with something for to do for people of all abilities! Donations towards their maintenance fund are also welcome, please email office@barrowafc.com for more details.
