Match Preview: Wrexham v Barrow

The preview of our trip to Wrexham!

Your bag is packed (not forgetting your scarf) and the excitement is building as a new season approaches! Now, here is all you need to know ahead of our opening day trip to Wrexham!

Wrexham v Barrow

Saturday 3rd August
3pm
The Racecourse

Wrexham’s Recent Form:

Wrexham had an adventurous pre-season with a trip to Portugal combined with a mix of games against varied opposition back home.

They beat Cefn Druids, AFC Telford United and Curzon Ashton, whilst they lost to Portimonense (in Portugal), Stoke city and Crewe.

Barrow’s Recent Form:

The Bluebirds come into the game on the back of a solid pre-season campaign that saw all of the squad get a decent amount of minutes in their legs.

Impressive wins against Morecambe and Sheffield Utd U23 were the highlights, whilst we also drew at Lancaster and put in good performances in narrow defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool.

Last Time Out:

The Bluebirds slayed the Dragons hopes of automatic promotion late last season, with a ruthless first half performance handing us a 3-1 win at the Racecourse. Dan Jones, Jacob Blyth and Lewis Hardcastle were on target for the Bluebirds.
