A brand new irrigation and pop up sprinkler system has been installed at the Progression Solicitors Stadium!
The system will both make the pitch easier to maintain and also provide a slicker, faster flowing surface on match days.
With heavy machinery on the pitch to complete the construction of a roof on the Holker Street End, groundsman Gareth Morgan and his team were unable to start any preparation work on the pitch ahead of the 2020/21 season until that project had been completed
With this in mind, they took advantage of that time to work alongside D Crane sports turf to install a drainage, irrigation and pop up sprinkler system under the pitch to help ensure we have a top quality playing surface as we head into the EFL for the first time in nearly 50 years.
In addition to this installation, further work has also taken place on the pitch to get it ready for the new season including a full re-seeding, dressing, verti-draining and scarifying to get it as good as new for the new season.
