We are delighted to welcome highly experienced media manager Mark Simpson to the club.
Simpson, who has decades of experience in media and communications, joins us after 18 years as the Media Manager of Hartlepool United Football Club.
Whilst at Hartlepool, he received wide acclaim for his work, including leading the media department as they were awarded the prestigious National League programme of the year award for the 2018/19 season.
As we embark on an exciting journey into the EFL, he will use his invaluable experience from Pools' time in the Football League to lead our media department moving forward.
Speaking following his appointment, Mark expressed his excitement at the challenge ahead;
"I'm delighted to be here at such an exciting time for the football club. I followed the club's progress last season and couldn't be happier to be joining a club who are on the up, as we return to the Football League for the first time in 48 years.
I'm looking forward to bringing my experience and new ideas to the media department and we will keep supporters informed of the exciting changes that we will look to develop.
With the club moving into the Football League there are lots of new opportunities to take advantage of, including the iFollow system, all of which we will be looking to introduce to keep supporters up to date with exciting and engaging content, whilst giving the all important glimpses of what goes on behind the scenes."
The club's CEO Levi Gill commented;
"We're delighted that Mark has agreed to come and oversee the development and growth of our Media operations.
There are new expectations of our Club following promotion, be they from the EFL, commercial partners or from our own fans, and we want to make sure that everybody is satisfied.
We also want to give our supporters creative and engaging content which both honours our EFL obligations and delivers the right exposure for our sponsors and partners.
Mark's experience and background allow us to hit the ground running toward this objective."
Welcome to the club, Mark!
