Barrow are set to open the new campaign with a trip to Championship outfit Derby County in the First Round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw for the opening stage of the competition was made live on Sky Sports on Tuesday morning and David Dunn’s men were handed a trip to Pride Park.
Managed by former Barcelona midfielder Philip Cocu, The Rams finished 10th in the Championship last term and boast England’s record scorer Wayne Rooney in their ranks.
It will be the first time the two clubs have clashed in competitive action since they shared Division Three North in 1956/57 during which both games finished all-square.
The Carabao Cup tie is due to take place behind closed doors on Saturday 5th September.
