Barrow will open the new Sky Bet League Two campaign on home soil with Stevenage providing the opposition on what is set to be a historic afternoon at The Progression Solicitors Stadium.

In a repeat of the 2010 FA Trophy Final, the Hertfordshire outfit will make the journey North on Saturday 12th September as Barrow return to the Football League stage for the first time in 48 years.

David Dunn’s side will then make their first away trip of the new League Two season when they journey to Newport County on Saturday 19th September before returning to home soil to face Colchester United on Saturday 26th September.

Local rivals Carlisle United are on the agenda early for The Bluebirds, with the team set to make the short trip to Brunton Park on the first weekend of October.

Former boss Ian Evatt will return to the Progression Solicitors Stadium on Tuesday 20th October when Barrow entertain his new club Bolton Wanderers.

Barrow will travel to Port Vale on Boxing Day before rounding off 2020 with a home game against Tranmere Rovers and then kicking-off the New Year by hosting Exeter City on Saturday 2nd January.

Dunn’s men will have another derby to tackle on Saturday 1st December when they travel to Morecambe before welcoming The Shrimps to their own patch on Saturday 20th February.

Southend United form the opposition for the final game of the season at home on Saturday 1st May, with the campaign set to culminate with a long journey to Exeter City the following weekend, a fixture which actually mirrors our last Football League fixture on the final day of the 1971/72 season.
