Harrison Biggins Joins Bluebirds On Loan

28 August 2020

David Dunn has moved in to the transfer market to secure the signing of highly-rated midfielder Harrison Biggins on a season-long loan from Fleetwood Town.

The Sheffield-born star came through the ranks with Barnsley before gaining experience with a spell at Stocksbridge Steels where his performances earned him a move to Fleetwood in 2017.

The central midfield man penned a two-year deal with The Cod Army and immediately began impressing for their Development Side before making his First Team debut in the EFL Trophy against Carlisle United.

He enjoyed a real breakthrough campaign in 2018/19 when he made 30 appearances in all competitions for the League One outfit, scoring his first goal for the club against former side Barnsley in September 2018.

However, a nasty facial injury brought about a premature close to his 2019/20 season and now boss Joey Barton has allowed him to leave Highbury on loan to get some more regular football under his belt.

Bluebirds chief Dunn has long been an admirer of the 24-year-old schemer and has now made his move to bring him in to the Club as he continues to build ahead of the big kick-off.

Biggins has been handed the number 25 shirt at The Progression Solicitors Stadium.
