I'm Excited To Play My Part - Jolley

23 December 2020

Michael Jolley has revealed his excitement to get going after he was appointed as the new Manager of Barrow on Wednesday evening.

The 43-year-old has been chosen to succeed David Dunn in the hotseat at The Progression Solicitors Stadium after impressing the Club’s hierarchy with his knowledge, passion and vision for the future.

Jolley will have a watching brief when The Bluebirds travel to Port Vale on Boxing Day but has admitted he can’t wait to get his teeth in to the challenge that lies ahead.

“I am extremely grateful and humbled to become the new Manager of Barrow AFC,” he told us.

“The Club is on an exciting upward trajectory and I look forward to playing my part in the next chapter of that journey.

“I share the Board’s vision for a progressive future for Barrow in the EFL and I firmly believe we can deliver that success together.

“I look forward to meeting as many of the supporters as possible, as you have a central role to play in how me move forward.

“I inherit an excellent staff and, in Rob Kelly, I will have someone with fantastic experience to work alongside me.

“The players showed what they are capable of against Cheltenham and it is exciting for me to play my part in taking this positive momentum forward in to the second half of the season.”
