Luke James Signs For Barrow

20 July 2020

Forward Luke James has re-joined the Bluebirds on a two year deal.

The 25 year old is no stranger to the club, having played a vital role in us avoiding relegation from the National League in the 2017/18 season. His seven goals in seventeen appearances on loan at The Progression Solicitors Stadium earned valuable points against the likes of Maidstone, Maidenhead and Aldershot to keep the Bluebirds up.

Luke began his career at Hartlepool, rising through the youth ranks before making his senior debut for them in 2011.

He became the youngest Hartlepool goalscorer even when he scored against Rochdale in 2012, also winning the League One apprentice of the year award.

Moves to Peterborough, Bradford City and Bristol Rovers followed, before signing for Forest Green, the club from which he joined us on loan back in 2018.

After leaving Forest Green in the summer of 2018, he moved back to Hartlepool and has featured over sixty times for them in the past two seasons, cementing his place as a fans favourite at Victoria Park.

Welcome back to Barrow, Luke!
