Scott Quigley Wins North West Football Award

9 November 2020

Barrow star Scott Quigley has been named as the National League Player of the Year at the Pitching In North West Football Awards for 2019/20.

The front man was top scorer with 20 goals last term as The Bluebirds clinched the National League title and a glorious return to the Football League for the first time in almost 50 years.

Quigley beat off competition from Stockport County’s Ashley Palmer and Chorley’s Matt Urwin to land the coveted prize, which was announced in a virtual ceremony on Monday afternoon.

“I would just like to thank all the fans who voted for me and the judges at the Pitching In North West Football Awards for picking me as their winner,” Quigley commented.

“We had a wonderful season last year in winning promotion and I was delighted to score as many goals as I did, but it was a team effort from everyone at the Club so this award is for us all.”
