Luke James and Matt Platt made a visit to St Bernard’s Catholic High School last week to help some budding young sports journalists hone their interviewing skills.
The Bluebirds stars took part in a special ‘press conference’ at the school, spending time answering a barrage of questions from the enthusiastic pupils.
James and Platt were quizzed about Tuesday’s game against Oldham Athletic and were also asked about what they got up in to their spare time by the youngsters.
“There were some great questions asked and we had a lot of fun answering them,” James told us afterwards.
“It was great to get out in to the local community and meet some Barrow fans and hopefully help inspire the next generation of sports journalists – hopefully they will be kind with what they write about us!”
The class at St Bernard’s have been working with the Club’s Community Trust team to learn more about sports journalism and the players’ visit gave them further insight in to the role.
