I'll Get Better With Games - Taylor

6 October 2020

Chris Taylor admitted he was thrilled to be back out on a football pitch after starring on his debut during Barrow’s 2-2 draw with Leeds United Under-21s on Monday evening.

The midfielder spent a previous loan spell with The Bluebirds during the early part of his career but is delighted to have returned to the Club permanently after a deal was agreed.

Taylor celebrated by playing the full ninety minutes and he even managed to score the winning penalty in the shootout to clinch Barrow an extra EFL Trophy group bonus point.

“That will do me the world of good going forward,” he told iFollow Barrow.

“The legs are a bit sore but that’s my first game in around eight or nine months, it’s been pretty crazy with everything that’s gone on.

“Rob (Kelly) said he had put me sixth in the shootout because he wasn’t sure I would be able to walk to the penalty spot – but luckily I got there, sent the keeper the wrong way and got us the extra point.

“I’m now just looking forward to really concentrating on playing for Barrow, getting my head down and the more games I get down and the more I train the better I will get.”
