Courtney Baker-Richardson is set to see a specialist after picking up a hip injury which has delayed his Barrow debut.
The front man joined Barrow nearly a fortnight ago but was injured during a session on Hopwood’s 4G surface and the problem has failed to settle as quickly as the Club’s medical staff had hoped.
As a result, Baker-Richardson has been booked in to visit a specialist in London who will be able to investigate further and advise on how best to treat the injury.
“It’s just so frustrating for Courtney to pick up an injury so early in his time with us,” admitted boss David Dunn.
“He came here really fired up to get going and show what he can do once he was up to match speed so this is a real setback for him and for us.
“It was a freak incident where he’s jarred his hip attempting a shot on the artificial surface so now we just have make sure he receives the best advice and treatment to get him back to fitness as soon as possible.”
