Bradford City arrive in Cumbria this weekend looking to get back to their best form after suffering back-to-back losses in League Two.
The Bantams re-appointed Stuart McCall as boss in February, the former Scotland international returning to Yorkshire to take charge of The Bantams for a third time.
They began the new season with just one defeat in their first five league outings but were beaten 3-0 at home by Newport County last weekend and lost out 1-0 at Bolton Wanderers in midweek.
Relegated from League One in 2019, City will be hoping that they can quickly get back on the right path and begin climbing up the table to challenge for a place in the top seven.
One To Watch
Midfield star Elliot Ward arrived at The Utilita Energy Stadium during the summer, when he agreed a switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 20-year-old got some League Two experience under his belt with a loan spell at Carlisle United last term and has made a positive start to life with The Bantams.
A Scotland Under-21 international, Ward scored his first City goal in their 2-2 draw at Forest Green Rovers in September and needs to be watched closely in this weekend’s game.
Head To Head
Saturday’s game will be the 48th competitive meeting between the two clubs and City have the edge historically having won 31 times in comparison to Barrow’s 13 wins.
It’s the first time that Barrow and Bradford have met in a competitive fixture since April 1970 when they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
The first meeting came in the FA Cup during the 1905/06 season in a tie which City eventually won 3-2.
Referee
Ben Speedie will take charge of this weekend’s game between Barrow and Bradford City at The Progression Solicitors Stadium.
He was promoted alongside The Bluebirds in to the EFL for the start of the 2020/21 campaign and has so far overseen seven games at the higher level.
Speedie was referee in three Barrow fixture last season – he saw us beat Maidenhead United and Barnet before watching as we drew with AFC Fylde on Boxing Day when he sent off Josh Kay.

Barrow have been installed as 6/4 favourites for three points this weekend, with The Bantams made a 17/10 shot for victory and the draw priced up at 9/4 with Sky Bet.
