David Dunn has reinforced his defensive options with the arrival of Scott Wilson at The Progression Solicitors Stadium on a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old had been on the books at hometown club Burnley since 2013 but was released at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
A powerful and dominating performer who is comfortable in the centre of defence or at left-back, Wilson spent the latter part of last term on loan at National League North outfit Blyth Spartans.
The highly-rated youngster has also tasted First Team football previously with a spell at Stalybridge Celtic whilst progressing through the ranks at Burnley where he turned professional in 2019.
Wilson has been handed squad number 19 and is free to make his debut for The Bluebirds in Saturday’s Carabao Cup tie at Derby County.
