David Dunn has moved to strengthen his options with the arrival of young goalkeeper Scott Moloney on a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old shot stopper has most recently been on the books at Bury, having previously spent a year as a scholar at Hartlepool United.

Moloney has trained with his new teammates this week and will now provide further competition for Joel Dixon and Josh Lillis in the goalkeeping position.

“I have known Scott for a few years now from his time at Bury,” explained boss David Dunn.

“What we didn’t want to do is what happened to us at Derby where we were left without a goalkeeper on the bench and we think Scott is a really good prospect.

“He’s under the age limit for the squad as well so he can come in with us and not affect the cap so we’re looking forward to working with him and we will go from there.”

Moloney has been handed squad number 21 at The Progression Solicitors Stadium.
