The Barrow AFC Performance Centre is set to re-open its doors next week and has announced a series of exciting open training opportunities for young players.

There will be soon be opportunities in the following age groups as a priority:

U13: Thursday (6.30pm – 7.45pm)
U11: Friday (6pm – 7pm)

We are also planning to hold opportunities at a later date for:

U9: Friday (5pm – 6pm)
U12: Thursday (6.30pm – 7.45pm)

If you would like to register for the opportunity to take part in one of these training sessions in the future then please click here now.

Registrations are being invited now but, due to COVID restrictions, shorter sessions will be in operation and the number of triallists in attendance is being strictly limited. That means some age groups may be over-subscribed initially so please be patient and our Head of Youth will be in touch in advance of your open training date.

Opportunities will remain available for extended periods of training in line with the Performance Centre’s policy, and staff will be in touch after a session if players are to be invited back.

“It’s such a fantastic time to be part of this Club – and that seems to the thoughts of players outside our county too,” said Liam Reid, Head of Performance Centre.

“We’ve recently had many conversations with other EFL clubs and the Board of Directors too, as we look at how we can evolve the Centre for the new season.

“We have had huge interest from players far and wide in the last few months and would like to provide the opportunity for them to come down, enjoy their football and showcase their ability with our staff and players.

“We are really excited to get back to it. We have had many clubs across the EFL in contact with us to arrange games, such as Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town, so I am hoping we can all remain safe and take advantage of these excellent opportunities.”
