Our dedicated team of charity walkers are continuing to stride towards the finish line in their 1901 Miles In April challenge for The British Heart Foundation.
We announced at the end of March that a charity challenge was going to take place in April, in response to the terrible news that Bluebirds star Lewis Hardcastle was forced to retire from professional football due to a genetic heart condition.
Directors Tony Shearer and Steve Herbert, along with Chief Executive Levi Gill quickly signed-up to be part of the walking team, while coaching staff, players and office staff are also taking part.
The target was set that, between them during April, they would cover a colossal 1901 miles – a nod to the year that The Bluebirds were formed.
And they’re making great progress too – with more than 1,250 miles registered as they enter the final week of the epic challenge with over £500 already raised for The British Heart Foundation.
There is still some pavement pounding to be done in the next seven days but they’re definitely on course to hit their target – and you can help with some inspiration in the form of a kind donation!
