Paul Farman has been reflecting on a positive pre-season for The Bluebirds and has insisted that the squad is in good shape ahead of next weekend’s League Two curtain-raiser.
The summer signing was disappointed with the way the team started in Saturday’s pre-season friendly defeat to Southport but is adamant it won’t knock the shine off an encouraging warm-up campaign.
Farman says the excitement is really starting to build in the camp now as they look to put the finishing touches to preparation for Saturday’s season opener at Stevenage.
“We’ve worked our knackers off in pre-season to make sure we can have a good start in the league,” he told iFollow.
“I have really enjoyed it from the first day I’ve come into the Club; there is a really good bunch of lads here and I am really enjoying working alongside Josh Lillis.
“I am sure we will have some tough graft in the week coming up when the gaffer works on all the things he wants us to do leading up to the first game.
“We’re really looking forward to it on the back of an enjoyable pre-season.”
