Mark Ellis has revealed his pride after it was confirmed that he was to lead Barrow as Club Captain during the 2021/22 campaign.
Bluebirds boss Mark Cooper has nominated the experienced centre-back to wear the armband for our second season back in the EFL and it’s a decision which has left Ellis surprised but delighted.
“It’s the first opportunity I have had in my career to be Club Captain and I am so excited about it so I will try to lead by example,”
“I have had the armband for the odd game here and there in the past, but I am delighted to be captain of this Club for the new season.
“It gives me that extra responsibility but we have some very experienced players here and I know they won’t take a lot of organising so I will just do everything I can to help.
“It’s vital we get off to a good start now so if we can get that first win as soon as we can then it will give us a platform for where we want to be.”
