One young Barrow fan who missed out on cheering The Bluebirds on at Harrogate Town on Saturday is set for a memorable night after being invited to be mascot for our cup tie with Aston Villa.
Jaxon Shaw, 12, travelled with his family to North Yorkshire but was left devastated after being unable to get in to The EnviroVent Stadium following an unforeseen problem with the host club’s ticketing system.
However, PC Rickie Wallbank, the Club’s dedicated Football Officer and Supporter Liaison Officer Chris Altree paid a visit to the youngster on Monday with an extra special surprise.
After presenting Jaxon with his own replica Bluebirds kit, they told him that he was also set to be mascot for our huge Carabao Cup meeting with Premier League outfit, Villa.
“He’s gone from being really upset at the weekend to being the happiest kid in Barrow!” said Wallbank.
“I’m delighted we’ve been able to follow this up and there’s been a positive outcome and I really hope that Jaxon has a brilliant night at The Dunes Hotel Stadium.”
