Matchday Guide: Ipswich Town

3 December 2021

Here's a look at everything you need to know to make sure your visit to Portman Road runs as smoothly as possible this weekend.

Tickets
Tickets are no longer available for Barrow supporters, either in advance or on the day so those without tickets are urged not to travel.

Visiting fans will be located in The Cobbold Stand at Portman Road where there will be the usual food and drink facilities available, although a decision is made on a match-by-match basis around the sale of alcohol.

Parking
There is no official stadium car park but there is parking around Portman Road and the nearest NCP is right by the away end and usually has spaces up until around 45 minutes before kick-off.

The alternatives are to head for the large car park on West End Road which is around a five-minute walk from the stadium or to the railway station which is about a ten-minute walk.

Park and Ride
Ipswich Park & Ride buses run from two car parks. The first is on the London Road, just off Copdock A12/A14 Interchange, which brings you from the A14 into Ipswich. The second is the Martlesham Park & Ride which is just off the A12 south of Woodbridge.

Fares are £3 per adult, £2 for 5-19-year-olds and £5 for a group of up to five (maximum of two adults), reducing to £2.50, £1.70 and £4 respectively after 12noon each day and all day Saturday. Concession passes are always £1.50.

Official Away Pub
The Station Hotel, formerly known as the Riverside Hotel, is opposition the station and is the official away pub. It is roomy, has a garden and TV screens and three beers on tap from the Greene King stable.

Ipswich Town COVID-19 Protocol

Lateral Flow Test/Vaccination History
For all supporters aged 11 and over visiting Portman Road this season, Town are asking for proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test result taken or proof of a double vaccination. If no proof of either is produced, then no admission will be granted.

16/17-year-olds, unless considered vulnerable, only require one vaccine to be classed as fully vaccinated, meaning there is no need for a negative Lateral Flow Test result for these ages.

Negative Lateral Flow Test
A test must have been reported and can be demonstrated via text message or email via the NHS Test and Trace. The test needs to be taken within 48 hours of the time of stadium gates opening (1.30pm). The club will not accept Lateral Flow Test sticks as proof.

Vaccination History
Fans must provide proof of both doses received at least 14 days prior to the match. This can be documented by the NHS app or via the Scottish or Welsh vaccination record services. Town will accept the NHS Vaccine Card issue at the point of the first vaccination.

Please note that all supporters aged 13 and over will need to have photo ID (passport/driving licence) available to verify their COVID-19 status on arrival at the turnstiles.
