Ipswich Town opted to part ways with boss Paul Cook following the goalless draw with Barrow in our original FA Cup Second Round tie at Portman Road a week and a half ago.
Former Colchester United boss John McGreal has been named as Interim Manager and he is being assisted by another former Ipswich player in Kieron Dyer, who is the Club’s Under-23s boss.
They currently sit 12th in the League One table after James Norwood’s goal 13 minutes from time rescued a point from a 1-1 draw at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Town remain just nine points shy of a play-off spot though and fans will remain optimistic that they can make a charge for the top six during the second half of the campaign.
One To Watch
Scott Fraser was signed in the summer from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee after a productive season at Stadium:MK which saw him named as the Dons’ Players’ Player of the Year.
The Scottish playmaker is capable of scoring and creating goals, with his 14 goals for MK Dons last term bringing interest from the Championship before Town finally secured his signature.
Comfortable in a Number 10 role, Fraser has also been utilised on the wing and in a deeper central midfield role this term – but wherever he operates, The Bluebirds will have to keep an eye on him tonight.
Head To Head
This evening’s game will be only the second competitive meeting between the sides following last weekend’s original tie at Portman Road.
Referee
James Bell will make his first trip of the season to The Dunes Hotel Stadium when he takes charge of this evening’s FA Cup replay against Ipswich Town.
The last time he presided over The Bluebirds was back in March when he saw us collect a crucial three points with an eye-catching victory at Cheltenham Town.
Bell is into his second season on the EFL’s list of referees, and his most recent appointment was at The Banks’s Stadium last Tuesday when he saw Walsall draw 1-1 with Crawley Town.

Competition Rules
Each club may select up to nine substitutes for FA Cup ties, of which up to five can be used. However, teams are only permitted up to three opportunities (plus half time) to make substitutions within the 90 minutes.
If the game is level at 90 minutes then 30 minutes of extra time will be played. If the teams still cannot be separated then the tie will be settled by a penalty shootout.

Ipswich Town have been installed as even money favourites for victory inside 90 minutes, while Barrow are rated a 13/5 shot for the win and it’s 23/10 for the game to go to extra time.
