Chris Taylor has put pen to paper on an extended contract with The Bluebirds to keep him at The Progression Solicitors Stadium until the end of the season.
The experienced midfielder has made 17 appearances in all competitions since he arrived at Barrow at the start of October when he agreed a short-term deal which ran until the end of 2020.
However, new boss Michael Jolley has moved quickly to extend Taylor’s stay in Cumbria and is certain the 34-year-old will have a key role to play during the remainder of the campaign.
“I just feel his experience is going to be important in the second half of the season,” Jolley explained.
“He’s a really good professional and brings a lot of calmness and composure to the pitch but also to the dressing room, in terms of where he’s been and what he’s done.
“In the second of the season there are going to be ups and downs so having someone like Chris Taylor will be crucial for us so we’re pleased to have agreed a new deal with him.”
