Paul Ogden Appointed Chief Scout

20 January 2021

Paul Ogden has returned to The Progression Solicitors Stadium to take up the role of Chief Scout with The Bluebirds.

The former Port Vale midfielder has a wealth of football experience having managed across the non-league scene with the likes of Leek Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Witton Albion as well as working with Barrow in the past too.

Now Ogden has been formally appointed as the Club’s new Chief Scout and is looking forward to using his knowledge and contacts to help provide support to new boss Michael Jolley.

“I have been at other clubs in the past, but I have always felt at home at Barrow and with the supporters of this Club,” Ogden told us.

“All I want to do now is do everything I possibly can to help ensure that Barrow maintains its position in the Football League – we know it’s a big challenge, but I feel confident.

“I know we have the right man for the job, and I have been working with Michael to try and bring extra strength into the squad, which we have to do in very difficult circumstances given the impact of COVID-19.

“The Chief Scout role is a very challenging one but hopefully I can play a major part in supporting Michael and we can all get behind him to achieve our objectives.”
