Michael Jolley is delighted to have completed another piece of transfer business and is certain that latest recruit Dion Donohue will have plenty to offer during the second half of the season.
Donohue has arrived at The Progression Solicitors Stadium on a deal until the end of 2020/21 campaign following a spell playing in League One with Swindon Town.
However, Jolley is thrilled to have been able to persuade the versatile star to become his seventh signing of the January transfer window and is looking forward to seeing him in a Barrow shirt.
“We felt that Dion will add to the options that we’ve got,” Jolley explained.
“He can play two positions; he is comfortable as a left-side defender and left-back or he can play in midfield as well – he’s experienced, versatile and adds to our options.
“He was playing in League One for most of the first half of this season so he’s a good player, he’s got quality and he definitely brings something to the group.
“I think there has to be a lot of credit given to the Club because they’ve supported me as much as possible in the efforts to reinforce the squad in the areas where I’ve felt we needed to.
“We’re pleased with the business we’ve done but I think it’s necessary business given we’ll be playing on Saturday and Tuesday for the next seven or eight weeks.
“Everyone in the squad will have an important role to play and it’s great we’ve been able to strengthen the group in the way we have.”
