Josh Gordon has revealed how easy his new teammates have made it for him to settle into life with Barrow and says they are all looking forward to getting back on to the pitch this weekend.
The summer signing will be among those hoping to get some game time under his belt as The Bluebirds play their first pre-season friendly at Holker Old Boys on Saturday (1pm kick-off).
It’s been a tough start to training under the watchful eye of new boss Mark Cooper but Gordon says he’s already feeling at home and is determined to hit the ground running.
“It’s been nice to meet the lads – they’re really sound and got on well,” he told iFollow.
“As soon as I got in, everybody made me really welcome, and I am just so happy to be here and to get going again.
“The work has been tough so far, but everybody has been looking after themselves and come back in good shape so that’s a good sign for us.
“We’re really looking forward to Saturday; playing games is the best way to get your fitness so it will be nice to play football and have the chance to show the lads and the gaffer what I’m all about.”
