Barrow AFC has decided that Holker Street will be a cashless venue moving forward. This is in line with government guidelines which strongly advise that organisations encourage cashless payments to avoid cross contamination.
Therefore, with immediate effect, no cash will be accepted for any purchases made within the Stadium, Ticket Office, Club Shop or any other outlets.
Tickets
Match tickets can still be purchased on the day, but this must be done from either the Club Shop or the Ticket Office positioned in the outdoor Fan Zone area. Cash will not be accepted, and no tickets will be available to purchase on turnstiles.
Fair FX Currency Card
In order to make the transition to cashless as smooth as possible, the Club has linked up with specialists FairFX to provide flexibility to younger fans or those who may not have access to their own debit or credit cards.
The FairFX Currency Card will be accepted inside Holker Street, allowing parents or guardians to pre-load money securely on to the card which can then be used by their children to buy refreshments during their visit to the stadium.
It will take three to five days for your free FairFX Currency Card to arrive with you once ordered. Adding credit to it is done online and your first upload must be a minimum of £50.

Barrow Eats
We’re also proud to unveil an exciting new matchday partnership with Barrow Eats, which will allow fans to order food and drinks via the Barrow Eats app for collection in the Fan Zone at half time.
Whilst we have plans to extend this to pre-match and potentially after the final whistle in the future, we’re beginning with half time orders only to ensure a smooth launch and an effective service.
Fans will be able to go on to the Barrow Eats app from four hours prior to kick-off and order their food and drinks for collection in the Fan Zone at a designated half time slot.
“We’re determined to take away any concerns supporters may have about returning to Holker Street,” explained Chief Executive, Levi Gill.
“A move to cashless has been an objective of our owners for as long as I’ve been involved with the Club. Over the course of the last 18 months, the world has moved at an even greater pace towards being cashless, and we want to make sure we keep up with that progress.
“By working with FairFX and Barrow Eats during the 2021/22 campaign, we are confident that we can deliver a safe and stress-free environment for supporters so that they can concentrate their efforts on getting behind the team.
“It’s important to stress that if myself or the Board didn’t believe that this would make matchdays more efficient and enjoyable for supporters, we wouldn’t be proceeding.
“The positive changes that will come from this move – improved hygiene, reduced queuing times, an overall increase in payment options – will allow fans to focus on the important business of simply enjoying the football.”
