Video: Bluebirds Fan On Impact Of Live Sport

5 March 2021

Barrow fan Shane Pitts opens up about how important The Bluebirds are to him and how much live sport impacts on his life every single week.

This Saturday we will join with Level Playing Field in celebrating their Weeks of Action campaign which this year focuses on the importance of live sport on supporters’ wellbeing.

Now into its 17th season, Level Playing Field’s annual Weeks of Action campaign aims to highlight the positive work being carried out by clubs, fans and organisations towards access and inclusion for disabled supporters.

The key objective during the campaign is to shine a light on how good access and inclusion benefits disabled fans and the wider community.

As part of our involvement in the campaign, we wanted to find out more. Therefore, Community Manager Craig Rutherford and Media Manager Mark Simpson spent some time chatting to Barrow fan Shane Pitts, who has cerebral palsy, about his experiences following The Bluebirds and how important football is to him.
