It was a memorable Mother’s Day for four unsuspecting mums in Barrow at the weekend as we arranged for a delivery of flowers and a specially designed card to mark the occasion.
A few weeks ago, we opened nominations for Bluebirds fans to get in touch and tell us why their mum deserved to some extra recognition for going above and beyond over the past twelve months.
The emails came flooding in and there were some really unique stories told and it became clear that we were going to struggle to narrow it down to just one overall winner.
In the end, we chose four of the best nominations, then teamed up with POSH Flowers in Barrow to deliver a bouquet to Pauline Corbett, Dawn Hampton, Glynnis Murray and Jacqueline Preston.
However, we wanted to recognise all those who were nominated so we also arranged for our unique Bluebirds Mother’s Day card, specially designed and printed by the brilliant Funkee Monkey, to be sent to them all!
