Barrow AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Harry Gornall as the Club’s new Hospitality Manager.
Harry will immediately take on responsibility for overseeing the Club’s hospitality on matchdays, as well as promoting and delivering other events and functions at the stadium.
The 24-year-old previously worked at Blackpool FC, where he operated as Food & Beverage Manager at the club having worked his way up the ranks from bar staff to Bar Manager.
As well as gaining experience in the football hospitality industry, Harry has also completed a Sports Business degree at the University of Central Lancashire.
“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” Harry told us.
“Levi really sold it to me and I have to say I have already totally fallen in love with the place because it’s very clear that this Club is moving in the right direction.
“It’s a very professional set-up, everything is being done the right way and you can see how the Club is looking to progress so I can only see Barrow getting bigger and better as time goes on.”
Harry’s appointment underlines the Club’s commitment to growing as an organisation following promotion to the EFL and Chief Executive Levi Gill is thrilled to have him on board.
“With the pandemic situation improving and life slowly returning to normal, the fan experience will once again by at the heart of matchdays at The Progression Solicitors Stadium,” explained Gill.
“Harry’s passion for football and his experience in sports hospitality are going to be key in moving the Club forward, making positive changes to matchdays as well as driving new revenue streams as we look to better utilise the facilities here through the week as well as during the weekend.
“The owners and I are all delighted to have persuaded Harry to take this role and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
