Brough Named Players’ Player Of The Year

21 May 2021

Bluebirds star Patrick Brough has been named as the 2020/21 Players’ Player of the Year after an outstanding season in Barrow colours.

The wing-back not only once again showed his defensive qualities during the Club’s debut campaign in the EFL but also chipped in with some invaluable goals along the way.

Brough, who operated in the centre of defence before being moved on to the left flank during the run-in, enjoyed his best season in front of goal, finding the net six times in total.

The 25-year-old scored both goals as The Bluebirds claimed an important 2-0 win over Mansfield Town in March before also being on target in the crucial victory over Exeter City the following month.

Brough’s athleticism and tireless energy down the wing became a feature of Barrow’s play during the closing stages of the season and there’s no doubt he played a key role in the Club’s EFL survival.

His consistent displays were recognised when the squad were asked to vote for their star man and he received the most votes to be crowned Players’ Player of the Year for 2020/21.
