Josh Kay’s vital late winner at Walsall in March has been crowned as Barrow’s Goal of the Season for the 2020/21 campaign.
The winger’s clinical left-footed finish into the bottom corner of the net was the only goal of the game at The Banks’s Stadium and provided The Bluebirds with an important three points.
Not only was the crisp finish easy on the eye, but it came following a lovely flick round the corner by Scott Quigley which saw the ball fall perfectly into Kay’s path as he drove towards the edge of the box.
Kay’s goal came top in a fans vote carried out online, holding off strong competition from Lewis Hardcastle’s stunner at Newport County, Luke James beautiful lob against Cheltenham Town and Mike Jones rocket against Colchester United.
