Team News: Banbury United v Barrow

4 November 2021

We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup First Round tie against Banbury United at The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium (5.15pm kick-off).

Barrow boss Mark Cooper is set to be without Jamie Devitt for this weekend’s game after the attacking midfielder picked up a calf injury during training.

However, front man Offrande Zanzala is expected to return to the Bluebirds squad following illness and Jordan Stevens is set to be declared fit after missing the defeat to Rochdale with an ankle problem.

Matt Platt came off the bench against Dale after shaking off a troublesome back injury and will hope to press his claims for a start, while Tom Beadling (knee) and Mike Jones (Achilles) continue to build fitness.

Kgosi Ntlhe is still sidelined with a knee injury and Dimitri Sea remains in the treatment room with hamstring trouble so neither will feature against The Puritans this weekend.

Banbury United boss Andrew Whing is without first choice keeper Jack Harding after he dislocated his elbow during their 3-2 win over Leiston a fortnight ago.

Whing made big changes to his line-up for their midweek cup triumph over Thame United but is expected to revert to his strongest team for Saturday’s meeting with Barrow.
