Josh Kay has insisted that he and his teammates can play with some pressure off this weekend as they head to his former club Barnsley in Round Three of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Barrow star turned professional with The Tykes in 2016 and made his senior debut for the South Yorkshire outfit so is looking forward to a return to Oakwell on Saturday.
However, after seeing off League One Ipswich Town in the last round, Kay is adamant that The Bluebirds can pull off another shock at Barnsley if they all play to their potential.
“We’ve got nothing to lose,” he told iFollow.
“Knowing that it’s all about who is better on the day and if you lose that’s it for the competition, it just always gets you a little more up for it and excited, especially when you’re playing a bigger club.
“We’re all looking forward to the challenge. I know the Club hasn’t made it to Round Four beofre so it would be amazing if we could do it - and I think we’ve got a chance.”
