Over 1,200 travelling fans were there to witness a crazy closing period as Barnsley retook the lead twice at 3-2 and 4-3 only for Barrow to respond twice through James Jones and Josh Kay as the tie finished 4-4 and went into extra time.
The Tykes found the decisive moment during the latter stage of the first period of extra time and this time there was no way back for Cooper’s side but they could still leave Oakwell with their heads held high.
