Club To Host Summer Music Festival At Stadium

14 January 2022

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be staging our very first music festival at The Dunes Hotel Stadium in May with international artists Tom Zanetti and Bad Boy Chiller Crew topping the bill.

Barrow company, Pitch Up Events, will be leading the organisation of this exciting project which will also see a host of local artists given the chance to showcase their talents to a crowd of up to 5,000 on Saturday 21st May.

It’s going to be an end of season party to remember with the musical talent and world class production, complemented by the best of the local food vendors to keep you charged up during the event.

Not only will this music festival be the event of the summer in Barrow, we’ll also be doing our bit for local good causes with Pitch Up Events set to donate a share of the profits to St Mary’s Hospice’s ‘Pay For A Day’ campaign and a charity close to their hearts, Alike.

“We’re really proud and excited to be bringing something of this magnitude to Barrow,” said Bluebirds General Manager, Alisha Henry.

“It’s something for us all to really look forward to and it’s an event that we hope the whole town can come and enjoy, not just Barrow supporters.

“It’s going to be an amazing day with the talent on stage but what we’re really excited about it just bringing the town and community together after what has been an incredibly tough couple of years.”

Tickets for the event, which is expected to prove exceptionally popular, will go on sale online from Friday 21st January and we’ll have more details around that in due course.

“We launched Pitch Up Events in lockdown with the vision of bringing people back together after a long period apart,” explained Pitch Up’s James Bonner.

“Growing up we’ve always been witness to the general comments of “there is nothing to do in Barrow” and decided, as three proud Barrovians, we were going to try and change that.

“The ‘Pitch Up Pledge’ is to not only provide big events but to give back to the community we feel lucky to be a part of. We’re very proud to have donated a hefty part of our profits back into the local sports clubs that have hosted us so far.

“At the same time, we have generated new income for local vendors that attend our events and we have also been able to donate to local charities such as mental health charity UOKLAD.

“Our latest collaboration with Barrow AFC, Pitch Up Music Festival, is set to be our biggest event yet – and we’re delighted that it will also benefit our chosen charity for 2022, St Mary’s Hospice and Alike.”

Things will kick-off from 12noon at The Dunes Hotel Stadium and the party will go on until midnight – so,  just Pitch Up, and we’ll take care of the rest!
