Amadi-Holloway Joins Bluebirds On Loan

28 January 2022

Mark Cooper has completed a move to further strengthen his attacking options with the signing of big forward Aaron Amadi-Holloway on loan from Burton Albion until the end of the season.

The 6ft 2ins front man was brought back into English football by The Brewers during the summer when he arrived at The Pirelli Stadium following a spell in the Indian Premier League with East Bengal.

Amadi-Holloway, who began his career in the youth system at Cardiff City, also sampled football in Australia during the 2020/21 campaign when he was on the books at Brisbane Roar.

The 28-year-old also has a wealth of EFL experience too having played for Newport County, Wycombe Wanderers, Fleetwood Town, Oldham Athletic and Shrewsbury Town.

Bluebirds boss Cooper has been keen to add more of a physical presence in the final third and Amadi-Holloway’s arrival provides another valuable attacking option for the rest of 2021/22.

The striker is the fourth new arrival at The Dunes Hotel Stadium during the January transfer window, following the acquisitions of Anthony Glennon, Will Harris and Jacob Wakeling.

He has been handed the number 25 shirt and is available to make his Bluebirds debut during Saturday’s League Two fixture against Newport at Rodney Parade.
