Pete Wild was in the dugout for the first time as Bluebirds boss, as his side saw off Holker Old Boys with a 3-1 victory in the first workout of pre-season on Saturday.
The first half lineup saw new boys Solomon Nwabuokei, Sam Foley, George Ray and Richie Bennett all feature.
It was a solid start to the game for Barrow, as Josh Gordon opened the scoring after 10 minutes with a deft shot across the keeper to put The Bluebirds ahead.
The lead was doubled in the 33rd minute, as George Ray played out a beautiful ball from the back to the feet of Remaeo Hutton who then found the head of Richie Bennett with a pinpoint cross.
Holker Old Boys sniffed around the Barrow penalty area on couple of occasions, but didn't provide too much trouble for Paul Farman. However, the home side pulled one back when a cross from Sean Paterson found its way into the back of the net on 39 minutes.
Pete Wild made a clean sweep of changes at half time, as a new XI emerged for the second half. Sam McClelland, Billy Waters and Tyrell Warren all put on the Barrow shirt for the first time since joining the club this summer.
Barrow grabbed a third goal with a fabulous strike from a trialist from 25 yards in the 71st minute, and the scoreline remained the same until the referee blew the final whistle on the first friendly of the summer.
