Job Vacancy: Media Intern

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and passionate individual to join Barrow’s media team on an internship throughout the 2022/23 League Two campaign.

The successful applicant will be a driven and passionate university student, or otherwise, seeking to gain hands-on experience in the sporting field. They will also bring knowledge and experience with them, and have a drive and desire to learn and develop even further.

Job Descripton:

Job title: Media intern 
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (matchday), Manchester (training).
Hours of work: As applicable + at least 1 matchday per week.
Salary: Internship / matchday expenses paid.
Closing date: 5pm, Friday 5th August 2022.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 
-Writing copy and assisting with the matchday programme.
-Assisting with website and social media content.
-Assisting with various club media duties and responsibilities.

Essential skills & experience:
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
-Hardworking, enthusiastic with a high attention to detail.
-A keen interest in football.

Desired skills & experience
-Previous experience in a professional / semi-professional football environment.
-Studies/experience in visual and/or written media.
-An understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop etc).
-An understanding of Pages/Word.
-Full UK driving license & access to your own vehicle.
